To foster generation of ideas with commercialization potential and to upscale/validate the proof of concept, BIG encourages academicians, researchers, start-ups and aspiring entrepreneurs to take technology closer to market through a start-up as well as stimulate enterprise formation.
BIRAC has announced 19th Call for Proposals under the BIG Scheme starting from 1st August and the last date to apply is 15th September, 2021. The scheme supports high level innovation of the idea stage in the Biotech sector and is not meant for basic research projects and provides grant-in-aid up-to INR 50.0 lakhs for a maximum period of 18 months. The selected start-up/innovator will go through implementation and mentoring through BIRAC's BIG Partners.
