BioNEST-BHU will focus onLife Sciences, Biotechnology, Healthcare, Agritech, Food Technology and allied areas. It is being developed in about 10000 ft2space on the 4th floor of the Central Discovery Centre (CDC) building. It will consist of 15 rooms (300 sq ft each) for start-ups along with laboratories dedicated for Molecular Biology, Chemistry and Microbial /Animal Cell culture facilities. BHU-BioNEST promotes incubation of start-ups by connecting them with the expert faculty members in the Institute of Science, Institute of Agricultural Science and Institute of Medical Sciences. It also facilitates access to the Central Instrumentation facility in the Central Discovery Centre as well as in the different departments of the University. BHU-BioNEST connects start-ups with inventors/ developers involved in developing technologies ready for transfer to industry as well as to hospitals and provide initial hand-holding / mentorship to the start-ups.
